Why meditate with us?
I Pure Soul has something for everyone and everyone is welcome. We have classes for beginners, workshops for those looking for more and programs for advanced meditators. We also go on retreat from time to time and provide specialist training to yoga teachers and workplace wellness courses.
Although I Pure Soul meditation is grounded in Vedic science and wisdom, it is taught in a non-religious style and is suitable for everyone – even kids. You do not have to change your belief system to enjoy the benefits of meditation.
We are unique
There are many meditation schools and teachers – there are two differences with I Pure Soul meditation:
- It is taught by Sailesh Chand Darshan who has a deep 25 year long practice of meditation and who teaches only what he himself has experienced and understands – following the tradition of a modern day yogi. Sailesh is also a qualified meditation teacher. His meditation sessions are both informative and uplifting. There is an emphasis on the experiential, rather than theory. Emptying the mind from concepts and theory is the first step to establishing a meditation practice! Expect much humour, love, guidance and practice. It is a wonderful opportunity to meet and meditate with a person who has mastered himself, overcome much adversity and who meditates for long hours most days.
- Most meditation practices focus on stress relief which is wonderful and some of our classes do the same. However, for those who wish to dive deeper there are classes for those who wish to connect to the ancient tradition of meditating for self realisation – a practice where the meditator, object of meditation and experience of meditation merge into One.
How meditation can help you
I Pure Soul helps you to become a more awake person – awake to your body, mind and soul and also to the outer environment and your relationships. This is a process that takes patience, perseverance and practice. With supportive company (through workshops and regular meditation classes) and a guide who has travelled the same journey, anything is possible!
"Dhyana is a Sanskrit word. The closest in English is 'meditation'. Through translation, the word and its meaning went from a noun to a verb. Dhyana as a noun means a state (of awareness), not a verb or action. Awareness comes from dhyana also. It means being mindful or in awareness of your soul, divinity, the super soul, all the time. This is when the object, subject and action merge into One. This unification process is called Yoga."
